Miriam Quiambao, MISS PHILIPPINES 1999 competes in her choice of evening gown as the preliminary competition is underway May 21, 1999. Each Delegate is judged individually in evening gown, swimsuit, and interviewed by a panel of judges. The preliminary competition will determine the top 10 Delegates vying for the 1999 MISS UNIVERSE Title. Miriam, a 23 years old, standing 5′ 8″ tall with black eyes, and black hair may be one of the outstanding individuals selected for the finals Wednesday night. The winner will be crowned May 26th during the live two hour CBS-Telecast starting at 9:00 PM ET(delayed PT) from the Universe Centre, Chaguaramas, Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies.
