Passion is overrated when it goes against your Principle

I love talks on passion but sometimes I feel we put too much weight on passion. There are a lot of men who are passionate but they are passionate for the wrong things.

I was chatting with a businessman who has a golden opportunity to earn big but he felt something was morally wrong if he will get into it. He is a passionate businessman and he is passionate about making money. In fact one of the reasons for his passion for business is because he is generous. But when he realized that his principles are at stake he had to forego of the opportunity.

When passion and principles collide – always choose principle. When the Lord blesses us, He adds no trouble to it.
