14 And I looked and arose and said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.”
Opposition abounds. Discouragement creeps in. People have a tendency to quit. What can be a good reason to continue the work God has called us to do.
When God calls you to do something – in spite of the opposition (yes, even God’s work receives opposition), remember the Lord will fight for you. The Lord great and awesome. How awesome is that! He not only fights for you but for the relationships that you value.
What can we learn from this. When we work, be rest assured that if it is God’s will He is there to back you up. Also work should never divide the family. It unites family. Work should never get you away from your family. It should bind you together.
Don’t be so workaholic that you have no more time for the relationships that matter. Don’t take work matters in your own hands, remember the Lord is with you!
